Plot Twist keeps your personal app preferences on your device. The app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK or account system.
Who is responsible?
Plot Twist: Daily Perspective is provided by Deuver, Steenplaetsstraat 6, Unit 4.14, 2288 AA Rijswijk, Netherlands. For support or privacy requests, contact hello@everscope.app and mention Plot Twist.
What the app stores
The app stores your onboarding answers, selected topics, favourites, language, appearance, widget choices, reminder settings, reading dates and verified subscription status locally. The app and its widget use a shared storage container on your device. Reading history is limited to the most recent 370 recorded dates. We do not receive this local information on an app server.
The app does not implement its own cloud synchronisation. Your device or iCloud backup may include app data according to your Apple settings. Apple’s backup and retention rules apply to those copies.
Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes subscriptions and payments. Plot Twist checks Apple-verified transactions to enable Premium and restore purchases. We do not receive your card details. Apple may make sales, transaction and diagnostic information available through its developer services; those records do not include your local onboarding answers or favourites.
If you use TestFlight, Apple processes beta usage, crash reports and feedback, and may share these with the developer as described in TestFlight & Privacy. Apple’s services are also covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Reminders and sharing
Reminders are scheduled locally after you allow notifications. The app does not send your quote selections to a remote notification service. You can change reminders in the app or withdraw notification permission in iPhone Settings. When you use the share button, you choose the destination; the receiving app or service handles the content under its own policy.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate reported problems. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing support, or on performing our agreement with you when your request concerns that agreement. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
Support messages are handled through Spacemail, an email service from Spaceship, and kept only as long as needed to resolve the issue, manage related follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not add support contacts to marketing lists.
This website
These support pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising, external fonts or tracking cookies. These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes and processes technical request information to deliver the website. Its retention periods depend on the purpose and applicable legal requirements; see the GitHub Privacy Statement. Opening an external link subjects that visit to the destination’s privacy policy.
Service providers and international processing
Our website host GitHub and email provider Spaceship may process service data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. GitHub describes its use of European Commission standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework in its privacy statement. Spaceship describes its international processing and applicable safeguards in its privacy policy. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your support request. The app’s local preferences are not uploaded to these providers.
Your choices and rights
You can change locally stored preferences in the app. Removing the app removes its local data, subject to iOS storage and backup behaviour; remove any remaining widget and manage backups separately if needed. Offloading an app may retain its data. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or delete Apple’s purchase records.
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us at the address above. We cannot retrieve local-only app data from your phone. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We will update this page when the app’s data practices change and show the date of the update. Material changes will be communicated where required.
